The Carriage
The carriage is similar to a typical lift truck since the lifting attachment could be tilted backwards and forwards from its horizontal. The tilt which is possible on this equipment exceeds more than that of the vertical masts. There is a large variety of available lifting attachments, and this positioning ability makes them as effective as possible.
Most telehandlers could tilt forward to a point where the carriage is actually parallel with the ground believe it or not! In addition, many units provide rotating carriages also. This enables the operator to radially adjust the lifting attachment. This translates to the load being able of being tilted backwards and forwards, and side to side.
Load Capacity
Telehandlers have a load capacity quite similar to that of the vertical mast unit. The unit's overall capacity would be dependent on things like: boom extension and angle, whether the unit is lifting on rubber tires or on outriggers, and the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable. Also, which lifting attachment plays an main role, as does the wind, the grade the machinery is operating on and so forth. All of these specifics could be changing constantly and this gives the operator a lot more information to take into consideration.
Telehandlers would usually have several different load charts available to them, giving them a good reference they could use to know a particular lift's load capacity. Depending upon the unit in particular and the boom's configuration, the load capacity could differ by thousands of pounds all together.
