CareLift Equipment has been designing and building excellent rough terrain forklifts ever since 1962. Each day the company strives to deliver value and help their consumers reach their objectives since they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
Boom lifts come in 2 general types, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. Both these units are often powered hydraulically. Most often straight booms are the ideal option for jobs that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Because the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a versatile machinery. These units are available in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
The articulated boom lifts are utilized for jobs which require to reach up and over obstacles in order to gain access. These specialized lifts are used for jobs which are not easily completed by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are practically identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work site.
In order to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Proper training is required prior to operating boom lifts in order to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for jobs requiring a lot of man hours to be done in much less time. These equipment have greatly increased productivity and have changed the material handling industry.
