Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks offer versatility and height. These models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual using it to lift the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular lift trucks aren't able to move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It comes with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would often use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform which is meant to raise workers is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is used to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
